  2. In thinking about Easter I was reminded again of 1 Corinthians 15 - that Christ's death and resurrection is of "first importance" to us. That Jesus came back to life in his body means the validation and victory of everything it means to be a disciple.

All that to say, Easter to us is the hallmark, culminating event of our calender year. I'm all for a pull-out-all-the-stops celebration: music, food, champagne, laughing, joyful occasion that mirrors what we know has taken place.

  3. Well I am not part of your church, so i don`t know if you are the pastor, or a youth minister, but in big church (where the whole (church/congregation) has a big funtion, where we spread the love of jesus christ through song, and gods word. Our pastor tells the significance of the cross and shares life changing stories, such as when he first became a christian at 19. If you are looking for some songs to sing, turn on the radio to 89.7 (I live in lexington too, so it should work. at 10:00 pm , I think it is a christian talk show, and maybe that could give you some ideas. 89.7 has current christian music that sounds really good. May God be with you.
